Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux

Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux was born in 1950 in Paris, where he lives and works. Since 2007 he has taught at the Villa Arson in Nice. Unclassifiable, he strives not to be defined. His ?parody? art seeks the immediate effect of pop music and proceeds via inversion (an image, aesthetic values).  Culturally, he feeds at every opportunity, from a soup of noble references to a trough of more vulgar fare. His ?walls? associate, visual puns, slogans, collages, framed drawings and materialist sculptures. Beauty and art are questioned almost casually. He regularly creates performances with Xavier Boussiron. His work was exhibited at the Loevenbruck Gallery in 2014, at the Musée d?Art et d?Archéologie du Périgord in 2011 and at the MAMAC in Nice in 2008.  It cn be foud in the collections of the Musée d?Art Moderne in Saint-Etienne, the FMAC, the FNAC, and the PACA and Aquitaine FRACs.
