Born in 1957, Bruno Rousselot lives and works in Châtillon-sur-Loire. He is a professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art in Dijon. During his time as a student in Vincennes, he founded together with three other artists the Usine Pali Kao, a space dedicated to alternative art. He moved to Brooklyn in 1987 where he met Sol LeWitt. His abstract paintings, set out according to a number of geometrical variants, (Eclats, Concorde etc.) are based on the relationship between colours and light. His first retrospective in France was held in 1995 at the Centre d?Art in Vassivière, He was exhibited at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Libourne in 2001 and at the Sémoise Gallery in Paris in 2009 and 2011. His paintings (on canvas or wood), his drawings and prints in collections in France (Bibliothèque Natonale de France, Cartier Foundation in Paris) and in the USA (the MoMA in New York, the National Gallery of Art in Washington).
