Regine Kolle - color me, 2016
Regine Kolle's drawings take us on a voyage through a modern urban universe where the street culture is pure California; the waves, blue skies and palm trees are never far away. She draws portraits of children, entering their teens, in rebellious poses with sneers on their lips, looking proudly out on the world.
Regine creates the outlines of her drawings using her computer to join a series of points using straight lines and curves. The simplified shapes of her drawings
are enhanced by the powerful strokes of her pen but when she paints, she loves to use the brightest and widest variety of colors. So on your marks and grab those fiber-tip pens in the race for a riot of color!
